Who Inspired Us

Judy Cross, retired Teacher

Judy Cross is a retired teacher from Ross Elementary School where she taught for many years. Mrs. Cross was the most remarkable teacher.  She believed in the potential of each of her students.  Through her caring and love her students were excited to come to school each day.

She inspired students to do their best.  She cared about each of her students. She brought joy to learning.  Through her example many were given the gift of education and love.

In her honor, we wish to provide students from the community with financial support to obtain a college education.

Coach Andy Jacobs

Coach Andy Jacobs started his running career in 1982 running with the Orem City Track Club.  He was one of Orem High School's Cross Country and Track team's top runners, graduating in 1993.  He joined the first ever men's cross country team at Utah Valley College his freshman year and ran all four years.

He coached Orem High's Cross Country and Track teams from October 2004 until October 2025.  While Coach Andy achieved a remarkable number of victories during his tenure, he would tell you that his greatest accomplishment was to see his athletes grow and improve as human beings.

Coach Andy cared so deeply for each of his athletes.  He encouraged each one to be the best version of themselves that they could be and supported them with all that he had. His influence has touched thousands of lives and he will forever be remembered as one of the greatest coaches of all time.
